Canyon Lookout

canyon.jpg (31520 bytes)

The Bluff from the Canyon Lookout

A starting point for both Twin Falls and Warrie Circuit walking tracks, the view from the
Canyon Lookout in any weather is breathtaking.

Sheer basalt cliffs topped by eucalypt forests form an ampitheatre filled with sub-tropical
rainforest. Here and there a waterfall plunges off the Springbrook Plateau into the canopy
hundreds of feet below.

On a fine day you can see the distant coast and make out the ridges and valleys that
form the hinterland foothills. During wet weather you can literally stand in the clouds as
they are blown up and over the escarpment.
